Viña Concha y Toro launched Gran Reserva Serie Riberas in 2009 as the first line of wines in which the origin of every varietal was associated with different riverbanks in Chile, with wines from the banks or proximity of the Tinguiririca, Rapel, Cachapoal, and Loncomilla Rivers. The Gran Reserva Serie Riberas vineyards are influenced by the effects of the riverbanks through two key elements that determine the characteristics of the wines—the soil and the climate. The resulting wines are fresher and have tremendous concentration and personality as well as a broad and complex aromatic profile.
